Something About Me and My Book:
42 years old and with 2 teenage daughters and an award winning Elizabethan Manor House Hotel in rural Dorset. A TV celebrity described me as BASIL FAWLTY from FAWLTY TOWERS (sitcom 1975-79). That was my inspiration to tell a no holds barred comedy version of my life in the hospitality industry, guests, staff, chefs and of course SYBIL who is an essential cog in the works.

Inn Keeping with Mr Fawlty came out in England in mid-Jan 2008 and is available through the hotel, Amazon, Ingrams and Bookmarket. It is rated as 5 stars with Amazon in the UK. I had to rush the book out because the Manor was 'under offer' (to be bought)....then the offer fell through which prompted book two.

I have just finished the follow up which is based on the same theme, KEEPING INN with BASIL. We get about one bookworthy event a month...you just can't get the guests these days!

I have just finished my first draft of the follow up book on the… Continue
