Something About Me and My Book:: My name is Yasmin Coleman and I'm the founder of APOOO (A Place of Our Own) Book Connection. APOOO was started as a bookclub in 2000, but since that time we have grown to include a website, review team, bookstore and coming soon a publicity arm.

My expertise is marketing. I have 20 years of marketing experience with several Fortune 500 companies to include Hershey Foods, Kraft/General Food and RJR/Nabisco.

I have media contacts. For the last four years, I have worked in the press office of a major state agency as a Director of Marketing.

I am married, mother of two, current member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and a former member of the Links, Inc and Just Good Friends.
