Book Video Trailer: When Everyone Loved The Game
This delightful story is built around a fictitious end of the season for the Chicago Cubs. An aging pitcher named Fast Ball Harvey has come back for one last time, in the hopes of helping a young team win the National League pennant and the World Series. Harvey is joined in this effort by two long-time teammates, Hooks Harrison and Tonic Tisdale. The tale soon takes an unexpected turn, though, setting the stage for a one-game showdown for the pennant. Says author Jim Shawn: "I have tried to capture poetically the feel of professional baseball before steroids and before player strikes - 'when everyone loved the game.'"
