In late 1996, Elvis Slaughter's mother developed a rare medical condition requiring her to receive a series of blood transfusions. Shortly after the transfusions were complete, her health took a dramatic turn for the worse, culminating in her sudden, tragic death in early 1997. In light of a series of mysterious events following his mother's untimely demise, Elvis launched a personal investigation into the ominous circumstances surrounding her death, growing increasingly suspicious of the doctors' original diagnoses of her condition. What followed was the dramatic revelation of a massive cover-up reaching the highest levels of state and federal government, involving severely tainted blood that eventually destroyed the lives of more than 40,000 hapless victims.
