The Book Marketing Network

For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

I've started podcasting each week as a new facet of marketing my non-fiction (alternative health) book. What success or experiences have others had using podcasting?

I have had two live interviews which were posted on web sites through the technology of podcasting. They have brought increased exposure for my activities. They show up in the first few pages of a search engine and they help to identify my current activities. I feel podcasting is a great new tool which will have great impact on marketing efforts. The more your program becomes popular the more your exposure will increase. I wish you success in this new endeavor.
Dennis,
Thanks for the good wishes. I've got a couple under my belt now and have discovered they also can do wonders for stature. My first few guests have been good "names" and it seems to be opening the door to others, so the effect at this point is to spiral upwards.
I've just started podcasting. I use the free service by odiogo to automatically make all of my blog entries into podcasts. I don't know how it is going yet, to soon to tell, but it is another marketing stream to add to the overall strategy.

Thanks Peter,

I looked at the information about odiogo and I had never heard of any method to create an audio file from a text file. Let me know how it goes. They have a great traffic rank through alexa. There rank is 101,000 which is fantastic so it should bring you some traffic. I may take advantage of this opportunity as I have over 100 articles that I have written and having an audio file of them would be great.
