The Book Marketing Network

For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

Everyone seems to be doing book trailers these days, so I thought I would try one out. My first one can be found on my book page: Native American Cultural Affiliation I Archaeology in the American ....

It is a little long, but for a first attempt I think it is not that bad. Now just to see if it helps with sales...

Peter,

How do you create a book trailer. Is it difficult? I think your book trailer is great.
Book trailers are pretty easy to do. This one was done in Windows Movie maker - a free program that comes with Windows. You can buy higher end programs such as Premier or FinalCut Pro, but for these little snippets it's not really necessary.

I'll see how it does in terms of sales... 128 views in 3 days.

Very nice, Peter! Well done! I really liked that you included the maps of the regions in question. Excellent.

I've made a few book trailers, too. They're posted here on this site and also on YouTube. The combined number of views on YouTube is in the thousands now. Clearly, however, those thousands of views have not translated into nearly the same number of sales (not even close!). Still, I think the trailers are worth the effort because at least they give the book a lot of exposure. And it costs virtually nothing for that exposure. Can't beat that. :-)
