Men of conviction
Lionel Ross, in his fourth novel ‘Men of Conviction’ tells the fascinating tale of three desperate and disparate young men, released from prison on the same day. They are Hussein, the Islamist preacher of Jihad, Wayne the burglar and Dovid the religious Jew and ‘one offence fraudster.’ Men of Conviction is their story over the ensuing ten years. Hussein, predictably, builds a shadowy Jihadist organisation with the intention, through terrorism, of creating the Caliphate of Britannia under Shari’a law. Wayne is determined to change his life and almost accidently finds himself the owner of a chain of Massage Parlours. By his previous standards, this is the path to wealth and respectability! Dovid, on the other hand, with the aid of his wealthy grandfather, becomes a successful property developer. The action takes place in such contrasting locations as 21st century Manchester, Istanbul, Afghanistan, Belfast and a mysterious breakaway Islamic republic. The contemporary background to the plots ensures the airing of such issues as Islamist and Irish terrorism, religious intolerance and drug trading. The main characters are easily recognised as typical members of today’s British multi-cultural society. As the cataclysmic ending approaches, the paths of the three main characters are destined to cross again in an epic and amazing ending.
Lionel Ross was born in 1935 and lives in Manchester, England with his wife Luise. He has two sons and six grandchildren.
He originally worked in textiles but is now a full-time author and publisher. His first novel ‘Fine Feathers,’ was originally published by PublishAmerica in 2005 and received considerable critical acclaim. (Subsequently re-published in the UK by i2i Publishing.) His second novel ‘Hidden Heritage’ (2006) launched him into the entirely new world of the Historical Saga. This was followed in 2007 by ‘The Baghdad Declaration,’ a thriller with the backdrop of the Iraq War. His large and growing band of readers has waited patiently for ‘Men of Conviction’ his fourth offering. There can be no doubt that it will be enthusiastically received.
Hi John,

Writing as I’m sure you know, is very therapeutic and helpful. We encourage individuals and groups that desire to write, to turn their pain into a passion that will not only bless their lives, but it will encourage the lives of others as well.
God is doing great things! At our affordable cost, soon we’ll all be reading awesome books of the testimonies published by church congregations and/or their ministerial staff, youth group organizations, groups consisting of our military children, and even schools (as their class projects)!
Hey, who knows, we could be the next guests on the Oprah Winfrey show!
Thank you John.....that was a nice welcome. Also, thanks a lot for appreciating my illustration works. After reading your profile, I would like to know more about you & your works.
Will keep in touch with you.....thanks once again.

great marketing tips. And you have a busload of friends.
My only question is: With all the free stuff, how do you
put bread on the table?
