What's Your Biggest Challenge with Your Book?

I'd be interested to learn what authors/publishers on this network think their biggest challenges are with their book. I wonder if there's any common, pervasive challenge we all face.

Got it, will look through it on my trip to New Mexico this week. Thanks.
Also as a comment to earlier posts about an editor. Mine was very thorough and although we started off just as "e-mail friends" he actually flew into Las Vegas when it came time for the final chapter hand-off. Said he wanted to meet a "real author." He has edited about 150 books and told me mine was one of the top five he ever worked on. Listening and learning were the keys to my success with him...why hire an expert and not listen to them? I wish I had as much confidence in my book as he does...again I'll listen to the expert.
I'll be back at you later this week!
Steve,
I think your outline is a great tool that can help any author. I haven't had time to go through all the links attached, but I can see how this is a talking outline right now. It should transfer over to a book very well and probably do great sales. Good luck at the seminar, I am sure you'll do just fine.
Keep in touch.

Philip,

Thanks for your kind comments. It's definitely a work in progress. But it's wonderful how blogging and preparing for a seminar forces me to organize tons of data and think more clearly about what I've been studying for some time.
Steve,
I think you probably may want to use my airplane ride as an example of how a "shy guy" can sell books without really doing any selling at all. If you use it, please give me the benefit of using my name and the name of my book, and that they can buy it at amazon.com or my website www.philipnork.com.
Keep in touch!
Philip,

Great idea! If I include it I'll link folks to you and your book.
Interestingly, I'm also getting ready for a Self-publishing workshop and I may use Philip's story as well (with links, of course). It's a great story. When is your workshop Steve?
I found a great site for writers. It only cost $25 a year to belong. Check them out to see the services they offer, including reviews and sending them all over. The site is www.bookinsync.com. They want to say writers hundreds of dollars compared to what other locations are charging us.
Thanks I'll try that website also...
Philip,
The owner Theodocia will talk directly to you if you have any questions about her program. She is wonderful.
Alberta, it looks like the correct link is:
Booksinsync for anyone who is interested in checking this out.
Yes, Joel

As soon as I looked it over I realized that. I'm sorry. They just brought someone on board who puts your books into different language. A reviewer, William Potter from Canada did a fabulous review for me and I paid hardly anything for him to put it onto 20 different sites. The staff is wonderful.

Alberta
Joel,

My seminar is November 7, at the Georgia Writers Association Red Clay writer's conference, near Atlanta. When and where is yours?
