I have to have just the right pictures on the cover and find that it might take hours sometimes to do that. I use istock and dreamstime but also search for book trailer pictures at the same time that will also fit the book.

Pls don't judge me by my cover...*wicked grin*  Erotic romance is not all I write nor are they the only covers I design for. I love doing covers and creating book trailers, book marks, etc for marketing and soon will have a trailer for The Boss's Pet series.

I look forward to reading what you have to share or any good ideas that would be useful. Thanks!

Thank you for sharing.  Good idea of picking two or more scenes placing them together.  I am doing that with my new book "An Angel For Joey" on the cover.   I wish we had more participation on this topic.   It would be alot of fun.  Have a great day.   PAM

Yes, Pamela, creating book cover seems like writing, and suggestions of others may help a lot.

For my book cover, I thought of picking two or more scene in the story and combine it. I hope that helps you and also others.

At the moment I need a professional editing first. My coming book can be found in my blogs. http://dayofluck.blogspot.com

Rather than do the common illustrated YA or fantasy cover that can often be loud and overcrowded, we went for a more classic design for the series. This way, it is both eye catching in being different and looks nice on the shelf.

Hello. I am a new publisher/author/illustrator. I would love to see discussion on this topic and join your site. I know the book cover have to draw people in; stands out, and says "buy me." I am working currently on three book covers and find sometimes that I cannot visualize the book cover unless I just do something to start it. Interior pics are no problem. It also challenges me and I need that. Maybe also, within this discussion group, we could view each others work and offer suggestions. It's like writing, sometimes you just draw a blank and outside help can be the ticket. Thank you for starting this group.
