It's so nice to meet a former journalist!! I've been out of print journalism for a few years now (I took a buyout when my last paper underwent staff cuts), and I still miss the field. I don't miss the crazy hours, but I miss the stories and all the fun people around me.

Thank you for taking the time to write me. You know, although I've had a tough past, God has given me a remarkable future. I know can take my past pain and help others. It's an amazing thing to do. It actually took me about 5 years to forgive my batterer fully. It was long process of healing, forgiving him, then hurting again, then going through more healing, then back to forgiving him and so forth.

It's a wonderful feeling to not have unforgiveness in me any more.

I'd love to know more about you. Had you ever experience abuse?
