The Book Marketing Network

For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

I was suddenly thinking, who's the best self-publisher out there? Not a discussion for competition's sake, but for interests sake? I know it seems a bit of an anal topic, but it just started tingling in my head all of the sudden. I guess one could learn from then and how they got to where they are? I'd like to know their secrets and strategies. Love Ivin.

That's a massive question Ivin!

There are so many companies who'd all say they are the best because... But at the end of the day it will come down to people's personal experiences (so I hope you get a few responses here). From my own personal experience I know there are some good ones here in the UK who are family run and like to provide an excellent service, but there are others, like AuthorHouse, who just want your money, provide you with a rubbish book and do absolutely nothing for you.

The best self publisher I've found is yourself! Provided you do everything correctly and don't produce an unedited poor product, without an ISBN, have a grotty cover with rubbish content, then you'll enjoy the experience, AND keep all the profit.

It is hard work, but well worth it.

Like Dee said- huge question. I agree with what she says but on top of that I have a question:

Who do you think is the best self-published author out there? The most successful? I wonder what tactics and strategies they used to get where they are?
