The Book Marketing Network

For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

I'm very honored and excited to have my novel, Jen-Zen and the One Shoe Diaries available on Kindle. http://www.amazon.com/Jen%252dZen-One-Shoe-Diaries-%252d/dp/B000ZUN...

I’ve always embraced new technology and have felt that one day we’d see a device that mimics a paperback book reading experience while offering all the search features of the Internet with the dynamic connectivity of being wireless. Amazon’s Kindle does just that and more. My publisher, Synergebooks.com felt the same way and pursued this exciting opportunity, as have numerous other independent presses like, Double Dragon Press.

According to Amazon many famous authors are using Kindle including, Toni Morrison, James Patterson, Michael Lewis, Neil Gaiman, Anita Diamant, Daniel Handler, and Guy Kawasaki.

Now if you're curious here's a bit about my novel:

Jen-Zen and the One Shoe Diaries
Brad Lynberry, a successful photographer, is haunted by the memory of Jen-Zen. He finds himself first fascinated then obsessed with shoes--but only lost shoes! Is Brad driven by artistic inspiration or is he going off the deep end like his sister fears? The answer comes through encounters with his Grandma who loves birds--a shaman named Red Hawk who tells him to look in the shadows, and Jonathan the art collector who leads him to Swansea where lost shoes keep popping up in a display of whimsy. Time is running out. Brad must unravel Jen-Zen's poetic riddles or go mad trying.

I have never heard of a Kindle. If it is what I think it is, e-books will be the wave of the future. I wish you lots of luck with your book.

Maureen,
Thanks. Amazon's device is pretty cool. It makes reading an ebook as cozy as a regular book.

Julie,

Great, Amazon's Kindle is the best ebook rival out there, other than Sony's Mobipocket (which is most Mobipocket books are being converted into Kindle via a special deal Amazon has with Mobi). I actually just reviewed a Kindle ebook the other day on the New Great Books blog. Although I still prefer a paper copy for reading at home, nothing beats a good ebook for travel or plane reading.

In fact, I just came back from Washington DC, and there were two others on the plane using ebook readers (not Kindles since they just came out last month).
