The Book Marketing Network

Authors Working Together to Sell More Books

"Your life changes when you meet people." - Sterling Valentine

I want to encourage the authors and publishers on this Book Marketing Network to work together to help each other to sell more books. That's the main reason I created this network in the first place.

There are so many ways that you can help each other. For example, I wrote an article on 30 Ways to Help a Book Author You Love - http://www.bookmarket.com/loveawriter.htm. Most of those ways apply not only to your friends but also to authors helping each other.

In addition, you can do joint ventures, Amazon Bestseller Campaigns, blog tours, and more.

Please use this forum right here to list your requests for partners as well as your responses or offers to help other authors.

You'll be amazed at what you can accomplish if you work together rather than alone.

For example, I'd love to see a fiction writers co-op promotion where each novelist promotes the other members in the co-op on their blog or website or social network. Tweet about each other. Like each others' Facebook page. Do joint blog tours.

Poets can do the same thing. So can business book authors. Spiritual authors. Christian authors. Cookbook authors. Etc.

I'm looking for fairy tales to review and feature on my blog/website.

These need to be about animals in some way, since my own children's book has a king bear, wolves, etc.

If interested, please send me a friend request and inbox me.  Also, please consider RETURNING the favor.

here's my url    http://www.chroniclesofkingbigbear.com/

I love helping author's promote their books, in fact I created a facebook page to do just that, promote good clean books.  www.facebook.com/LovenGodPromotions.  If your book fits that description of a good clean book, your welcome to like the page and leave your links for your books...I will in turn post them again to make sure they are visible on the wall.

Right now I am helping my dear friend June, get the word out about her book.

Thanks Cindy,

I just added two of my Christian authors.

Thanks as a brand-new author with my first Fantasy-Fiction book on Amazon Kindle Direct I would love to network with others and help each other out! I have a Wordpress page, a Amazon Author page, and a Author/book Facebook page.  I also build web pages.  I would love to hear from anyone and all!

I also love to encourage authors to network and cross promote. I produce "Authors Showcase" a half hour monthly TV show that broadcasts twice a week in Chicago and is available to over 325,000 RCN & Comcast subscribers. The show features new books and authors as well as book trailers we produce. You can watch it online at http://AuthorsBroadCast.com or subscribe to our channel at http://youtube.com/authorsbroadcast

Reno, If I understand you correctly you only showcase your own authors. Is that right? If you would consider others let us ALL know.

I completely agree, and am willing to do all that I can to help other authors. Related to this, I want to announce that my book, The One Hundred will be having a book Promotion through Amazon Kindle Free Download from 04/26/13-04/30/13. I will appreciate it if some of the authors here, those interested in reading literary fiction, will download it and refer others to this promotional offer.

Thanks

The One Hundred

Please sign me up to whatever co- operation there is; whenever I use Facebook I always use the 'Like' function whenever asked.

Chuckling....I know how you feel Theresa! Kudos for having time to chat here!

I will not mention any sites here but we have some in common.  My published book in e-book format did a round or two of free marketing to build an audience and generate some feedback since this is my first published book.

I too have a WP page and so far it does not seem to be catching any buzz or comments while the marketing free publishing round later sold another 1,450 e-copies of my novel.  I now have a paperback available that seems to be doing better than the e-books.

Let me know if you start a new author's page. I have web pages and a FB book/author page.

I have no marketing skills whatsover. My main marketing strategy has been on Facbook. I've had my book, Racing the Reaper, out on Kindle and paperback for five weeks now and I've sold 305 books thus far. The sales are slowing down substantially. The reviews have been great. The more I hear about how much someone loves my book, it drives me to find ways to sale more. Any pointers that anyone has would be immensely appreciate.

I don't know if you have tried Wordpress but a lot of the authors I loved to read had or have Wordpress pages and when my book sold the most on Kindle was after I started a Wordpress page and after I commented back and forth with other Fantasy Fiction bloggers' Wordpress pages.  It's free and easy to setup a page. You need all the marketing or visibility you can get.

Whether through a facebook page for your book, a twitter author account, or even your own webpage.  Get your name and book out where the most traffic is.

Facebook will let you build ads on a public page and recommend your page like any other ad.  It is cheap and better than nothing but I really recommend WORDPRESS.COM.

Jerrid;

Congratulations on the sales of your books. I didn't know that Facebook will allow you (authors) to market their books. This means I have to rethink my strategy on Facebook as well as complete the process for Ebook.

Again, thanks and congrats.
