The Book Marketing Network

For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

For me, I really enjoy inventing every piece of the puzzle in a work of fiction. I love it. Every writer is different. No one writer thinks the same. What works for him may not work for her in terms of how to put a story together. Fiction for me is not work. It really is fun. Non-fiction is work, there is mountains of research that goes into every page. Inventing colorful characters are a breeze for me.

Hi, George,

I am just the opposite. I have no problem with non-fiction and don't see it as work because, mine doesn't require research. I struggle with fiction. It is work for me because of the research I feel it needs to make it more like real life and believable. That is why I never finished my first novel which I started way back in the late 70's. I got so bogged down with the name of the interstate route numbers and the towns that needed to be on them, I eventually just quit writing. I still have the manuscript. I have been thinking about going back to it and finishing it. *pondering*
