For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

I'm acquisitions editor at a small press, Oak Tree. I handle the Dark Oak mystery line and have recently announced the Wild Oaks Western line. Now we're moving forward with Mystic Oaks, a paranormal line. NOT fantasy--no vampires or werewolves. Maybe a ghost or two.

Just thought I'd let this list know.

nice paranormal....my book birthing the lucifer star has lots of paranormal in it.... Ghosts are just so blah, and vampires and werewolves overblown. Dealing with Lucifer himself is best I think. I have an ebook scifi sunday's with the hipriestess with lots of abnormal para normal content though. Will have to look into oak tree.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Wild Oaks Western line, but I am also can't wait to see the Mystic Oaks paranormal line- that is a huge interest of mine. I'm especially glad no vampires or werewolves- they are being so overdone right now. Let's get back to old fashioned ghosts.

Hi Sunny,

I'd love for you to review my mysteries to see if they have a place on your shelf. The latest is Benny Plays the Blues. Contemporary mystery centered on the life of saxophone player Benny Hager and his struggle to avoid taking the rap for a double murder in Las Vegas. The story takes us to New York and Paris. It's rich in music, murder, and intrigue.

John, send it on! Query@oaktreebooks.com Send about 30 pages in a Word or RTF attachment.

Oak Tree has a very strong presence in Las Vegas. That's where the Public Safety Writers Conference (formerly Police Writers) is held every year. I can see many marketing venues to sell such a book.
