Something About Me and My Book:: I run a company (Dude Blog Your Business) which sets up blogs for small businesses and one area we want to get into is providing blogs for people looking to promote their book, either pre or post publishing. We have an article on our site called "Dude, Blog Your Book" which highlights the success story of Scott Sigler using a blog to promote his book.

It is a relatively cheap process, especially if you post on the blog yourself, but professional design is very important, as is promoting the blog through networks such as this. The idea is to provide the book in episodes in text form (as blog posts), audio mp3 podcasts and also possibly as a downloadable PDF file, building a following which translates into book sales and/or publishing interest. The interesting thing with Scott Sigler's book is that even when the book came out in hardback he still continued to offer it free through the blog, without adversely affecting sales.
