I am here to share what I have learned and learn what I do not. I support authors as fully as I can, so if you need a friendly review or blurb, or some marketing ideas, feel free to contact me. I am an author, not an agent and I do not own a marketing company--so I have nothing to "sell."
Wow! You've got a full plate! I also seem to thrive on such fullness - so I'm working on the cover art for a book of rituals, planning cover work for a book based on fairies, gathering work and writing work for a book about the suffering of those who've been accused of witchcraft (then and now), and working up a plan for a book about prayer beads, complete with prayers and instructions to make the beads. My biggest problem is that I keep wandering off-focus into one or another of the projects, and don't finish what I started in a timely manner. So my new year's resolution has been to compartmentalize my week, so that each day I have a specific thing to tackle. It's working well, so far.
I've just published a Book Journal, in which you can record all the books you borrow, those you loan, the ones you ache to own, and those you've ordered. It's basically a blank book for the reader to fill in the "blanks". It doesn't have an ISBN, so it's only available through my Lulu storefront - for now.
Hi, TM! How is it going? I haven't been here for a long while, but I'm trying to regain contact with all my friends. What are you working on now? Something generic, or something pagan?
Hello, Typing Monkey. I started a group called San Diego, California Writers. It's on the end of the group listing. You are invited and welcome to join.

SOrry it took this long for me to get back to you. I was out of town with limited access to email. Thanks for all the feedback and advise. Unsolicited or not, I can use all the help I can get! Thanks also for the encouragement. I do get the vibe that people do not appreciate what POD or LULU can do, but my feelings are essentially the same as yours. At least I have the finished product in my hands with minimal investment. I spent many years trying to break into the comic industry and working with artists. They are self serving and have held me back in many ways. I am thankful for the opportunity to publish on my own terms.
Intriguing email you just sent out. Congratulations!
There is no doubt that there is some garbage out there which is self-published - but that does not take away from the quality material which simply went under the radar of the big publishers.
Merry Christmas
Don
I read your post and wanted to stop by to congratulate you on selling foreign rights to your book! I am tired of hearing that small publishers can't make it, too. I am doing just fine with my book and I am an independent publisher. Thanks for sharing your great news! It's really inspiring!
