The Book Marketing Network

For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

Who would you cast in the book that you're reading?

Hello Book Marketing Network. I am excited to be a part of the great discussions here!

I want to kick it off with a couple questions of my own for you all.

Have you ever been reading a book and pictured a certain Hollywood star playing one of the characters? Ever been disappointed with the casting selection when your favorite book is made into a movie?

My site TheBookcaster allows you to build the perfect Hollywood cast for your favorite book and share it with other fans.

My hope is that one day, fans of books might be able to influence Hollywood and cast the actors we want.

I would love your feedback (good and bad) on how to improve this site and facilitate some fun discussions.

Take care,

Jason, this is a very interesting topic. I will have to follow your link and check out The Bookcaster.

Jason, the next book I will be looking to cast after reviewing is Ties of Blood by Joleene Naylor. She has an entire series and I am on book 3.

Hope to see them up on Book Caster so we can start casting the parts :-)

Awesome. Make sure when you search our database for her books, that you search for her author name instead of the book title. Just a tip! Looking forward to seeing your casting selections.

Well cast away, cast away...

I can vote on an actor.

Put your book on the list.

With a hope and a wish...

Well cast away, cast away

I have another book for you to put on Book Caster, here's the link to my latest review:

Take a crack at adding the book and let me know how it goes for you. I am interested in getting feedback from others on the casting process and how I can improve!

Yes! I did my very first add book today. Pretty easy, though I think initially it tries to suggest all these other books when I did a search. I think I then had to add the author's name to my search before it prompted me to 'add book'.

Yes, searching by author sometimes is best. This is due to so many book titles having the same names or similar words in their titles.
