REVIEW: The Realm of the Unseen by Ken C. Cross, Author, Editor
One of the most succinct and complete guides to what it means to live the Christian life is found in Ephesians 6:10-18. The Apostle Paul uses imagery of the uniform of the Roman soldier, with which his audience would have been intimately familiar, to paint a vivid word picture of the ongoing battle between the Church and Satan.
Carolyn Ward uses Paul's extended metaphor brilliantly and eloquently in her book The Realm of the Unseen to describe in detail the journey of young Christianity as she learns to use these "tools of the trade" provided her by the Holy Spirit. In inspiring detail Ms. Ward tells of the "powers of this dark world" (Ephesians 6:12) and their ongoing opposition to the Bride of Christ. As Christianity learns the fight is not really hers, she gains the strength in weakness Paul wrote about so often.
The Realm of the Unseen is an uplifting read for both believers and non-believers. If you are already a Christian, you are sure to gain a deeper knowledge and a more vivid picture of what it means to truly live your faith. If you haven't yet accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior, read The Realm of the Unseen and learn of all He has done and will do for those who are truly His.
I know I have been very blessed to have read this book and I'm sure you will be as well.
