Ever since he can remember, 17-year-old Eloik MacMillan has suffered terrifyingly real nightmares.
Tormented and guilt-ridden by his fears, teased and bullied by his peers, Eloik wants nothing more than to be left alone...
But he will unwittingly go from outsider to insider to play a key role in an epic battle which will determine the ultimate fate of the universe.
With his newfound Dreamrider friends Janika, Dylan and Nilianna, he must now confront Küwürsha, the Queen of Nightmares, Widow-with-a-Thousand-Faces, whose relentless goal is to rule supreme over the dream world and the unconscious mind. If she succeeds, it will be the end of humankind…
Are our dreams an escape from reality or are they a bridge to a completely different universe? The Dreamer’s Awakening spans this great divide, shedding light on vastly unexplored worlds beyond our consciousness.
About the series: Originally written in French and released in the province where it became a best-seller, The Dreamer's Awakening is the first book in a series of twelve. Although the target audience is teenager/young adults, the plot's twist and turns are certain to keep the fantasy/adventure reader of any age interested.
The authors:
Born in Quebec City in 1970, Martin Bois became interested in science-fiction at an early age, in large part thanks to the stories of Jules Verne. Starting at age eight, he wrote his first stories and quickly acquired a taste for this form of expression which so readily allows his imagination to flow freely. The Dreamer's Awakening is his first novel.
Sebastian Levek, born in Rimouski, Quebec, has a background in television and movies. Also passionate about fantasy and the fantastic, he is the original creator of the Eloik character and his wonderful Dream World. He now lives in Quebec City, and his biggest dream is to make the three loves of his life - his wife and his two little girls - as happy as they can be.
