I am Margaret Garrett Irwin often known as Maggie. I published a book made from the hand written journal that my great great grandmother made from letters received from her daughter about her experiences as a nurse with Florence Nightingale and also in the American Civil War. The book is called "The Journal of Anne Reading from Florence Nightingale to Dorothea Dix and Beyond." I published with print on demand publishers Trafford. Thanks for your contact. I apologize for responding so late. I would really like to blog on mom sites about this and other related subjects. In general I find that parents tend not to care about this subject until THEIR child develops an addiction problem. By then, prevention of addiction is no longer an option. It is rather frustrating. If you know of some good blog sites for this discussion, please let me know.
