Profile Information

Something About Me and My Book:
I was born in Trenton, New Jersey in 1940. Leaving school in my junior year, I began a Navy career in 1957. Following Navy retirement in 1977 I have earned undergraduate and graduate degrees, worked as a shipyard welder’s helper, adjunct graduate instructor, epidemiologist, pharmaceutical trainer and radio host. An avid motorcyclist, I reside in Jacksonville, Florida in close proximity to my three children, three grandchildren and a large American Bulldog named Bowser.
I have written and self published two books to date:'Listening To Ghosts,' my memoir and 'Fighting Bob,' a historical fiction novel centered on the exploits of my relative, Commodore Robert Stockton. A more thorough description of my work can be found on my website.

Monday was Francis Albert Sinatra's birthday, a day that in my opinion should be declared a national holiday. I thought that it would be a nice tribute if I did a bit of YouTube research and posted my three favorite Sinatra songs to my Facebook page. I had posted the first two and while I was copying number three I began to think about... Cora.

It was the summer of 1967. The Carrier Task Group to which I…
