Linda LeBlanc has not received any gifts yet
My novel about the Sherpas of Everest has received 5 star reviews from everyone. A wonderful review was posted yesterday on amazon. One would think that with all these great reviews for the papeback editon I'd be able to get an agent to sell a hardback edition and other subisidary rights. That just isn't happening. Any suggestions?

Beyond the Summit is the first fiction about the Sherpas of Nepal .I used to lead treks to the Everest Base camp and know their culture well. The book has received 5 star reviews from everyone. All who read it say it's a movie waiting to be made because of the powerful love story between an American journalist and Sherpa guide, the exotic setting, the climbing scenes told through the eyes of the porters.
How do i bring this to the anttention fo anyone in the movie industry?

Regarding contacting film industry....if you think trying to get a BOOK published is hard... :-)
I'd suggest looking for films similar to yours...perhaps by searches on imdb.com and contacting them about your book.
Good luck
Very impressive "resume" you have. I worked for The Yak Works and Early WInters (which most people won't reconize but you might) and met a lot of the great climbers: Roskelly, Robbins, Messner, Whittaker.
(My main hero in the field was Bill Moss, though)
It looks like you might be able to either profit by or contribute to my new Self Publishing group here on BMN.
Please take a look, we're trying to build it into a resource for writers who prefer to be their own publisher.
