Help Me Make It Happen

 Sometimes I get leadings that I can't ignore. I'm not sure if they are directives from a higer power, or just ideas that refuse to go away until I follow through. Last week I had a strong impression that I should send a copy of my book The Time Of My Life, to Leigh Anne Tuohy. If you don't immediately recognize that name, she is the real life version of the character played by Sandra Bullock in the movie The Blind Side. She and her family live in Memphis, where for…

I Do Have Worth ... I'm a Son of a King

Father create in me a kind heart. Remove the blindness from my eyes that prohibits me from seeing the good in each and every person.

May each and every word that proceeds from my mouth reflect a positive and constructive attitude.

Let compassion be my deepest desire towards my brothers and sisters.

Speak to my heart Holy Spirit and convict me of selfish intent.

Regardless of how my day unfolds, I pray that I take the time…

Why Writers Can Influence Reader's Lives

When cuddling up with a great book on the couch, readers are locked into the world of imagination, with a comforting escape from reality. While creating mysterious stories, and situations, writers also create characters with attributes both desirable, and detestable. Whether it's a detective mystery, or a romantic novel, undoubtedly readers find themselves fantasizing about…

Guest Post: Richard Hebert

Okay, here is a fun guy, witty and sharp. I had the pleasure of meeting Richard at the annual Florida Writer's Association banquet. We shared a few laughs and talked shop (writers do that, ya know). So, I tell Richard that I write fiction, mostly fantasy. He tells me he writes metafiction.
What? What is that?

Pull My Books?

I think it is safe to say that if our numbers are any indicator, Amazon is squarely entrenched as the leader in eBook commerce. Through September 30th, 52% of our eBook sales have been through Amazon. No shocker there, but our #2 store is a shocker, Kobo at 16%, with a very tight lead over Barnes and Noble at 15%. Apple comes 4th at 9%, and Smashwords is the only other full percentage performer at 4%. We currently distribute through 10 stores, 3 of them have reported no sales what so…

Poem: His Amazing Grace Continues

I am surely blessed, knowing…

that God’s grace continues to flow;

for I’m sustained by His presence,

wherever I am or divinely go.

I refuse to be consumed by uncertainties;

for by His grace, all fears are relieved!

My faith will be evident within my life,

which started… when I first believed.

From promises of spiritual prosperity,

I thankfully in praise, raise my voice…

giving utterances of His sacred Word

in which this joyful soul now…

Poem: Contemplating the Lord’s Prayer

O Lord, holy is Your Name!

As one of Your many children,

my inheritance I openly claim.

Willingly I lift my voice in praise,

thankful for Your new mercies

and the warmth of the sun’s rays.

With genuineness of heart

and a simplicity of words,

I desire for Your kick start…

to begin this glorious day,

as I’m covered with blessings,

and faith’s fragrant bouquet!

Forgive me of my ignorance

and lack of spiritual…

Poem: Called To Worship (III)

As a Child of God, you’re blessed with favor,

since you’re a joint-heir with our Savior.

Don’t be ‘eaten up’ with unending discontent;

know that He has promised to keep His covenant!

So regardless of the latest, spiritual deluge,

in the Lord, you’ll always find safety and refuge.

Relief for your earthly suffering is coming,

provided to Him your heart-felt requests you bring.

Despite your painful past, your joy can be restored

when you humbly seek… the face…
