Event Description

Rosa, Trudy, and I will be hosting this show. When a bitter divorce rages into full-scale warfare, a father uses his children as ammunition. Is the shield of a mother’s love enough to save her children? Or is it already too late? Debut author Jill Egizii dives into the dark reality of divorce
warfare, casting a spotlight on the weapon of parental alienation in her new novel, The Look of Love. After nearly twenty years in an emotionally abusive marital nightmare, Anna, the wife of a prominent trial attorney with dirty secrets, has finally declared that enough is enough. She leaves her husband hoping to shield her children from the cycle of their father’s abuse and manipulation, never imagining she would lose her children in the process. The surprising deterioration of a loving relationship between Anna and her children is just the beginning, as she soon discovers that the legal system she trusts and her faith in herself will both fail her when she needs them most. In The Look of Love, Anna fights the battle of her life and discovers that nothing matters more than the well-being of her children. She comes to realize the true meaning of motherhood, friendship, and love in the most unexpected situations. Author Jill Egizii “I never dreamed my family would experience parental alienation firsthand, and as I researched parental alienation syndrome for my own divorce case, I discovered I was not alone in my suffering. Inspired to help other victims, I became an advocate for victims of divorce and alienation through my involvement with many wonderful organizations. This is our story,” Jill states. Jill is the mother of four beautiful children in Leland Grove, Illinois, where she serves as an Alderman. Jill is politically active in the parental alienation prevention movement.
