I would like to get some advice from the pros. How do you just "GET ON UP AND DANCE"

It is in my head,in several journals and in Scrapbooks. It is about me and my journey as my mom and dad walk with me. And Knowing God is there and we " WATCH HIM WORK".

Write, write, write. Don't worry about whether it sounds right or not. Don't fret about punctuation or grammar...just write.

I wrote my first novel (80,000 words) in 17 days. Gosh it was a blast!

17 days??? what was the editing and rewrite like? did you even have to rewrite?
Oh yeah...did I have rewrites...lol.

I spent the next year and a half on revisions. A real learning process.
At least you were in a direction. one year and 17 days is still not bad in my eyes.
You just have to write. Start simply, but simply start and write what you know, write from your heart.
Well that sounds easy. the story is about me and my family. I watched the movie "I Remember Moma" I think it is with Iren Carr or close to that. It is OLD/ I even bought the movie a few months ago. that was my inspiration plus my love for Scrapbooking.
My first story was a letter I sent out to my family after my aunt died. she had a recipe for coconut cake from scratch. it was given to me by her daughter. I sent a copy of the recipe and a Picture of my aunt and grandmother sitting at a table with the cake. then a letter telling the story of the cake.
That started my family recipe scrapbook. I have made copies of it and give as wedding shower gifts to my nephews.
there is a self publishing company in Eddyville, Ky. that only do Cookbooks. I have thought about increasing my scrapbook with more recipes and stories and talking to them. however that is just a thought.
I love that old movie. Remember Mama's Bank Account?

I love to do what I call "Digital Doodles" and wanted to save them for my daughter. I created a book of them using Blurb.com. It was very inexpensive and I made it public so that if the family should want to order one, they can.

Try writing your story on your own personal blog and that will help you look at it with different eyes. You can make your blog private.
