If you haven’t read The Shack (Where Tragedy Confronts Eternity) you really must! Ranking high in on-line bookstores and already read be many, this book offers insights into the heart and mysteries of God that cannot be found anywhere else.
The experiences shared by the main character, Mackenzie Allen Phillips will open your eyes to an all loving creator, who leaves no one – not even the worst of us – left behind. His door to communication is always open and his magnitude of understanding almost unimaginable.
For “Mack,” it took a terrible personal tragedy to bring him face to face with God in all his/her forms – Papa (Father), Jesus (Son) and Sarayu (Holy Ghost). And although some may claim that Mack’s experiences with the three were depression/drug induced, no one can deny that the story he tells of what he believes really happened offers divine glimpses into how God thinks and acts. He even, from Mack’s account, has a sense of humor.
If you are already a believer, Mack’s story will bring what you already know to light and shed even more light on those big questions for which you could never get answers. If you are an unbeliever, glean from it what you can and weigh the truths you find written within the pages. God truly never gives up on anyone.
