The Book Marketing Network

For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

Many new authors are taking advantage of the wonderful free publishing services of sites like Lulu and CreateSpace. However it is important not to cut corners on the quality of your writing.

Avoid the embarrassment of a Amazon review like this one:

...the premise was intriguing, the characters interesting, the plot was fast
paced and entertaining, however the grammar and spelling was a complete mess
spoiling this read for me. 2 stars...

A friendly professional editor can take care of these problems. Erin at Shamrock Editing will
proofread and copy edit for: spelling,
punctuation, typographical, and grammatical errors; unclear and inconsistent
prose, including point of view and time line issues; confusing dialogue, word
usage, and repetition. I make corrections and suggestions, ensuring clarity,
without altering your unique style.

Acquisitions editors, agents, and publishers look for manuscripts as close to publish-ready as
possible and will ignore submissions plagued with mistakes. Self-published
works containing errors appear unfinished and will leave your readers and
reviewers with a less than favorable impression of your work.

Erin will customize her service to your unique needs and preferences.

Hi William

You're so right about self-published books. My first book was self-published. Because of my inexperience as an author, I wasn't aware that my publisher was non-traditional. It really wasn't specified in the agreement. Although, the final product is very acceptable, I chose to go with another publisher for my second book. I pay nothing from editing to marketing.
