My book - Tom P's Fiddle - is a narrative nonfiction based on a true story. The events took place in Texas during the later part of the 19th century. Tom P Varnell, age 21, attends a party in Hill County. While outside with the farmer's daughter, Tom is accosted by the father with a short handled axe. A friend throws him a gun which he uses to deadly effect. Thus begins his adventures when Tom P goes on the run, fearing a lynch mob will end his life before a trial could take place.
Using family stories, legal documents, court records, and newspaper articles, I have re-created Tom's remarkable story. I have some of his original hand-written fiddle music. A local musician will be recording it for me. I plan to use this as a marketing tool. The audio on my player is Tom's original waltz composed at the turn of the 20th century.
I will be setting up my web page and blog soon. I am a retired history teacher who once I learned of Tom P's story knew it had to be written down.
Tom P sounds like an interesting character. My historical fiction deals with Arizona, but whether it's Texas or Arizona there were some very interesting personalities in the the 19th century. I wish you success with the book and your ventures onto the Internet.

I'm impressed with your dedication to research. In my opinion that's a critical element in producing a good book, and one that is too often ignored. Good job!
