Well, some things really got whacked in my profile, which doesn't surprise me. :o) It's Suwanee, Georgia, however I lived in California for 43 years, so maybe it was a freudian thing - except I love GA. As far as the age thing goes, I refuse to list it on the Internet. People have such predisposed ideas abou8t age. Let's just say I'm a Baby Boomer who never passed 31. How's that?

Oh and I'll blog about the name. So drop by in a few days.

Hi Doug! Cute comment about you being the dog with the two girls!!! They are quite adorable dogs, I'll admit. I am an animal lover, but I only have one cat, Tommy. He pretty much rules the house, so birds and dogs are out. And it's always interesting when my son brings his female cat Jordan home from college to visit.

I will check out your Crime space site when I get a chance. When I wrap my poetry books, I'd like to try my hand at another genre. However, I am not so sure I'd be disciplined enough to complete a novel. I do have two short stories that I've started......

Thanks so much for the friendship, look forward to chatting with you!

    Hi Doug~
Good advice about starting with short fiction like you did. That makes more sense than tackling a novel.... I'll be happy just to get my poetry books under my belt. I'm not familiar with the Florida writers you mention, but will by all means check them out. I'm ready for some new books to read.
Wow, swamp cats! It's hard not to get drawn in by strays.... I've almost fallen into that trap myself. For now, I'm sticking to just one cat and the occasional visitor from college. Have a great weekend!

Congrats on page 400! My work can't compare, but I did revise one poem and began about 3 others. I had a bit of writer's block going for a while, plus very busy with life. Good luck!

Hey Doug. Glad you liked the photos. What is it that you like best about Darstan-Col's tree?
  • Brenda Wynn

Darstan-Col happens to be one of my favorite characters of my novel, Silverdream & Bloodfire.
  • Brenda Wynn

Thanks Doug. It's still in the editing stages right now but I'm just about ready to start submitting to publishers.
  • Ken K. Chartrand

I love dogs too, unfortunately my building manager doesn't allow pets. As a young lad I had 5 dogs and two cats.

Douglas, I wrote a novella titled "Tag...You're Dead"
amurder mystery that also has a secondary story, which makes it a 'romance'. I like detective style novels like those of Clancy and Grisham, yours looks interesting.
