Something About Me and My Book:
I am primarily a publisher. My company is History Publishing Company which has two imprints: "HPC" which deals with history, primarily but not exclusively, original source material and "Today's Books" which deals with contemporary issues. In its second year, HPC has eight books and will be publishing one book a month in 2009.
I
I am also an author of The Words of War (History Publishing Company.) It is about the birth of modern American journalism during the Civil War and how the view of reality is often altered by political belief. This is illustrated by contrasting the reportage of eighteen major battles by the northern New York Times and the southern Charleston Mercury. Because of its unique study of media bias, it received the Finalist designation for Book of the Year Award by Foreword Magazine.
