Liz is a social worker with one of the roughest beats in Denver. Compassion for her clients and her spirited personality continue to get her into dangerous situations with one unhappy perpetrator after another.
Officer Alex Demas has bailed Liz out of more than one messy situation, and has always been attracted to her. He sees his opportunity when one of her clients is caught up in a drug ring. She and Alex work together to protect her client and bring the drug dealer to justice.
During Alex's journey with Liz, he learns by her humble example of obedience to God, how to find his way back to his Heavenly Father. Liz's humorous outlook makes ordinary situations amusing, and her love for Christ is passionately expressed in her relationships throughout the story.
