On/Off the Beaten Path

Three long poems concerning the sights and sounds, tastes and smells, monotony and excitement, solitude and camaraderie of hitting the road to visit friends and see the world from the ground up. Three trips - one to San Francisco in 1999, one to Albuquerque in 2000 and the final one to the Pacific Northwest in 2001 (eclipsing 9/11) - detailing the poet's feelings, thoughts, joys and hardships...the making of a Road Scholar!
