Moral Hazard: situation where risk is taken readily because the consequences are not borne by the party taking the risk.
Oral Hazard: the risk billions take each day by ingesting foods and drinks that are created primarily for profit and too seldom with adequate concern for health impacts.
Retribution: the act of punishing or taking vengeance for wrongdoing, sin, or injury.
This story is fictional, or perhaps it’s better described as factional: facts, action, and fiction. It is written to document an important global socio-economic travesty and to present an interesting premise. What if the makers and suppliers of unhealthy, even deadly foods—the stuff billions of us ingest daily—were suddenly confronted with consequences for what they distribute and sell? What if the moral hazard was reversed?
