paxilla and the feathered serpent

based in ancient meso-america- this is a short story with illustrations- the hero is a young female warrior- Paxilla- she travels through the jungle and meets the flying feathered serpent. HE warns her of the spanish conquistadors. SHE must become a warrior and and change the course of history.
