The perplexing death of a former ballplayer has Johnny digging into the past of one of his childhood heroes. Following his instincts Johnny is a man alone in his suspicion of foul play.
The investigation leads him to some crooked real estate developers trying to cash in on Florida’s booming condo market. They are manipulating events to gain approval from the government to proceed with a large development project.
Using help from his own family members as well as from his beautiful reporter girlfriend Maria , Johnny delves deeply into another dangerous adventure. His quest for the truth leads him through secret police files and events that took place during the Vietnam War.
With the knowledge and expertise of Lonnie Turner, Johnny’s ex-cop and war hero friend he tries to re-create the events leading up to the death of an almost New York Yankee. A twisting pathway through the city’s computer system, misleading data and a lethal paralyzing drug seem to lead Johnny in circles.
Meanwhile, Johnny’s relationship with Maria hits an immovable object as she takes on a huge family obligation. Johnny is pursued by his former sweetheart Carmen as well as a childhood love from his home town of Westhampton Beach. ‘Shoreline’ is filled with intrigue and surprises including a dramatic conclusion.
