Thorns of the Heart:

This story is the reality and the truth of what is happening to many children in Latin American countries. Like many single mothers, she left her with her relatives with the hope to give them a better future. Instead of a better future she found undeserved loneliness, physical abuse and desires to kill herself. Her aunt who was always mad at her, always made her clean the voodoo altars and one day, she started praying to them. After some time, things began to possess her. Her uncle had other duties as assigned as part of her job which brought her to the point of wanting to kill herself.
