I used to be a journalist, but I found writing about fender-benders and house fires boring, so I started making stuff up. I always thought the most interesting stories were the ones that never got told - stuff that goes on behind the scenes, in a sorority house, stuff you never see on reality shows because they're so obviously scripted. I also wanted to write about money in a bad economy, so my book is about the haves and the have-nots.
So, last November I started writing my book for Nanowrimo. I'll admit I didn't finish by December 1 - okay, I didn't finish until early January. But I did finish, and the result is my novel, Sorority Girls with Guns. I call it chick lit with a side of sarcasm.
In my spare time, I enjoy gossip and gun collecting.
