Something About Me and My Book:
Through the Shimmering is a young teen fantasy about two young people from different worlds who face life threatening challenges to save the beautiful land of Isshuay from destruction. The story contains fantastic creatures and colourful characters woven together with a touch of magic.

My second novel, The Time of the Missyl is a prequel to Through the Shimmering.
Isshuay's border has been breached by a Missyl; a mysterious shape-changing creature from a neighbouring land. Hopelessly lost in a hostile environment, the lonely Missyl is unwittingly contaminating the inhabitants of Isshuay as it searches for the way home. As the years pass, the land's goodness is slowly disappearing through the breach in the border. Anger and despair have replaced the happiness that once filled the land.
Ali's mother, Jane, finally tells her daughter of her own time in the land of Isshuay. Introduced to the fabulous Silver Ones by young Nestor, Jane joins Old Marje and other intriguing characters to seek the elusive Missyl and heal the ailing land.

Through the Shimmering is available in ebook and print from Writers Exchange E-Publishing . The Time of the Missyl is currently available as an ebook and will soon be available in print.

Cheryl S. Norman lives in Eltham, Australia and is a busy grandmother of five. She is busy writing the third book in this series.
