Something About Me and My Book:: Best friends James and Jade have known each other since they were knee-high to a grasshopper. Growing up in the small town of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, they formed an unyielding bond that could not be broken by either time or tribulations. After completing college, both find themselves leaving the country life behind for new adventures in Houston, Texas.

James is a successful real estate entrepreneur looking for a woman who can meet his standards. After hooking up with Theresa, a crazed and jealous former psychologist, James realizes there is no such thing as the “perfect” woman. Yet sometimes what you have been searching for is right before your eyes.

Jade, an owner of a premier hair salon in Houston, allows her mother’s legacy as a promiscuous woman influence how she interacts with men. Jade continually finds herself in relationships based on physical attraction and great sex. However, when her ex-boyfriend proves to be manic depressive, Jade decides she wants more than just physical stimulation.

Dana E. Thomas is a U.S. Navy veteran who now works as an Information Security Analyst in Houston, Texas. Best Friends is her first book.
