Something About Me and My Book:: I'm a former newspaper reporter turned fiction writer, and my debut novel is titled "Death on Deadline." It takes place (where else?) in a newsroom. "Death on Deadline" features an amateur sleuth named America Miles who's a reporter in the small town of Hyacinth, Missouri - a place to raise a family, not a fuss. But when America's nasty editor keels over dead and her best friend is blamed, America finds herself taking a closer look at her town - and her co-workers. She finds out that even small-town reporting can be dangerous.

"Death on Deadline" is self-published, and I'm still learning the ins and outs of the industry. I've found the indie community to be very friendly and supportive.

I live in Michigan with my husband, two children and very overweight cat. I'm working on my next book.
