Something About Me and My Book:: For years I struggled with the Biblical texts—the creation story of Adam and Eve; the narrative of Noah’s flood; the migration of Abraham and his clan; and the emancipation of the Hebrew tribe through pestilence, war, and exodus. The words that Yahweh spoke to his prophets echoed in my head, and yet I could not reconcile the conflict and contradiction of those verses. The Old Testament as I knew it was plagued by duplicity and incongruity. I prayed and prayed, but no answer came.

Then one day a terrible dream disrupted my sleep, and I awoke with a Voice booming in my brain. It was the Lord our God commanding me to rewrite the scripture, the stories that have for millennia been mistranslated and misconstrued, the epic tales of the men who led His people from Eden to the Promised Land. And so with His guidance and through His direction, I penned the words He spoke to me as accurately as my feeble human mind was able.

Out of the Water is the manuscript of His words, His story, His revelation. This is no human revision—this is a divine tale that was not only inspired by God, but narrated by Him directly to me, his faithful scribe. This is the truth as it exuded from the infallible Voice of the Almighty. This is the story of the hero of the Jews—the life and journey of the prophet-king Moses; his legendary exodus from the slavedom of Egypt; and the covenant between the Hebrew tribe and their immutable Lord.
