Something About Me and My Book:: I was raised in the West Texas desert, spent my teen years in northern Alabama, graduated from Indiana University. I am a jack of all trades with wide-ranging interests. I worked on horse racetracks in Kentucky and Ohio in my early twenties. I love fall days, the smell of pine and cedar.

My debut novel is The Summer Set:

When sinister beings infiltrate their youth baseball league fourteen year-old catcher Peter ‘Chumbucket’ Miller and his best friend, pitcher Mike DeSorcier find themselves needing help from two daring and mystifying girls - Karen Croft and Jo Munro. The four friends share adventure, intrigue, romance, and danger throughout three hectic months. Solving the mystery of the evil Noqumiut carries them far beyond their safe and secure hometown innocence. They learn to rely on each other while battling to survive a tumultuous and literally explosive summer.

The spirited foursome receives help from unlikely sources: an Eskimo shaman; a magic stone carving of a seal; Chumbucket's loyal dog Oso; and a world series opponent from Roswell, New Mexico whose talents (and origins) may literally be out of this world.

The Summer Set is a humorous, intense, action-packed novel about friends, enemies and the pursuit of winning it all. The novel appeals equally well to boys, girls, men and women from the ages of twelve and up.
