Profile Information

Something About Me and My Book:
Jeff Bailey retired from his position on the Science Staff at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in 2012 and began working on his first project – The Defect. Jeff is a member of The Sagebrush Writers Guild in Richland, Washington.

Jeff was born in San Bernardino, California in 1947 and grew up in California. In 1967, he enlisted in the US Army. Specialist Six Bailey spent six and a half years working with nuclear weapons and in nuclear power plants for the military. He qualified for a pilot’s license while in the Army stationed in the Panama Canal Zone. After his discharge, Jeff spent twenty years building, testing and operating a variety of civilian nuclear power plants. In 1990, he returned to college and earned a BSEE and Masters in Project Management from Washington State University. On January 2nd, 1995, he accepted a position as a staff scientist at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and specialized in nuclear-related research. He earned two US Patents and several industrial awards while at the laboratory and has one technical publication.
