- Something About Me and My Book:
- Ken Spoerl was born in Chicago, but has always considered Southwest Michigan to be his home. He resides in Coloma with his wife, Carol and his dog, Buddy. To him spending time on Paw Paw Lake in the summer time is paradise. He has recently had a book published and although it is his first published work, he has written some short stories and a screen play that was considered for development by Touchstone Pictures. Unfortunately the project was never brought to completion. He still holds hope that someday it will be revived. The title of his newly published book, a science fiction/mystery, is “The Return of Matthew Scott”. It is the story of a man who vanishes without a trace, with a large sum of money that belongs to his employer. He returns a year later with a bizarre explanation for his disappearance. He must now prove that his fantastic story is true, or he will end up in a federal prison. The book can be found at his publisher’s website, Iunivese.com (click the book store tab), barnes&noble.com and amazon.com. It is also available at two Lakeside Book locations, Coloma and Benton Harbor (Orchards Mall). Ken currently has outlines for two more books. One is mystery/suspense and the other follows the long lasting relationships of a group of friends as they grow from adolescents to middle age men. The story follows the twists and turns and ups and downs that they experience as they go through life.
