Something About Me and My Book:: The title of this slightly different book is “Unemployment as an Opportunity” and it is entirely based on the experience and skills I gained while I was unemployed and looking for a job for 2 ½ years. The book blends a practical job-search guide with an inspirational real-life self-help book and provides advice about effective job-search techniques but almost more importantly about the right mindset and mental approach.

The book is different because it doesn’t cover abstract ideas but provides useful advice for situations that people can relate to – especially in these times. It is also different because it shows some unusual techniques in the job-search process and combines the guide with a self-help book, merges the contents and presents it as one real story. Finally it also gives a highly interesting “behind-the-scene”-view of the corporate hiring process.

My name is Marcus Valentiner and I work as a stock-broker, trader and market analyst in New York, NY and currently build my career-coaching business. In summer 2011 I founded V.O.L.T.A.I.C. Media & Consulting LLC and use the company as a platform to self-publish my book and to launch various projects (seminars, workshops etc.)based on the content of my book.
