I am working on a crafting/DIY book proposal now titled The Beaded Bride. It is a how to book full of jewelry and accessory designs for crafty brides and beaders! It's my first book proposal, but I have lots of experience in jewelry making and am an English teacher/librarian. My website is actually my jewelry site; there is no site dedicated to the book at this point.
Hello, I'm Bert Martinez, I'm looking to network with success minded authors. If you would like my free report 30 Strategies for Selling More Books just fill out the form below. I look forward to networking with you and if there is anything that I can help you with please do not hesitate to contact me.
i would suggest contacting local public and school librarians first- maybe via email- through their respective organizational sites, and see if they'd like to have you come out to speak to students or patron groups (what kind of book?); ask the public library to suggest you for book clubs, seek out local book clubs and provide them with some info about the book and offer to come and speak to their groups. if those are successful then ask them to suggest the book at conferences, meetings, etc, to get more broad interest. i hope that is helpful! good luck :)
How interesting, Melanie. And so creative. I come from a very artistic family, but am the only writer. The others are painters, photographers and crafters. I'm a new author with an upcoming release with the Wild Rose Press. As a teacher/librarian, have you any advice for me as to how to be considered for reader lists? I'm in the process of learning how to better access the net for promo, and will be primarily an E-pub author.
Thanks for any advice you can give.
