A True Sharing...A Journey with and to the Heart, By M. Christian

Shellee Rae...thanks for sharing your touches me ever so deeply.

The depth of her experience with incest, abuse and addiction is beyond my comprehension. I thank God she stayed alive. Shellee's courage and determination to continue, to live and heal is awesome. The expressions of her silent inner voice, the longings and hunger to find her real home speak deeply to the heart. The healings, openings, discoveries and rememberings of love are what our hearts are yearning for. For those currently suffering to whatever extent, Shellee's story shows that real peace and joy is possible for anyone.

Enjoy, it's a good read.

I encourage anyone who can't find a way out of the darkness to read and talk personally to Shellee Rae....
She is the real deal, knowing Shellee personally her light shines bright and true... There are not many truths in today's times, Shellee in my opinion is that truth. Her book is a great beginning to the path. Being in her presence is very healing if you have a way to be able to work with her she can help.. She has helped me in ways I did not know were possible....
Thanks Shellee Rae, I wish you all the light you have radiated out and your readers get it and the ones that need to work with you will come.
Peace is your Heart

"Braveheart", By Bonnie MacGillivray-Blout (Boston)

Bravo for one of the most amazing and remarkable survival stories. What courage! This book is a true testament to the sheer power, strength and possibility of the human spirit. Incredible. Beautiful.

I happen to have met Shellee, a few years ago now, as a healer when I sought her out as a Reiki practitioner in the greater Boston area. Let's say I knew her when she had made it to the other side - - - so to speak. I was so amazed by this person, this Reiki practitioner / healer, and inspired as I had never met a healer who "walked the walk", "practiced what she preached". She is a gifted and remarkable healer in every sense of the word, she radiates health, heart and love all the way. So when I heard her life story I was surprised. Who would have thought this beautiful, enlightened, gifted and skilled healer, who radiated health and good Spirit could have gotten herself out of the darkest of places that any human could experience. Who would ever think this was possible?

I read this book in two days as I carried Shellee around with me, in my heart, envisioning her every turn as I turned the pages of her book. I actually felt her heart and her love jump right off the pages. I could not put this book down until it was finished.

What a miraculous journey. If you are in a place of not thinking that anything is possible or that we as humans have limits, this book is for you. After this read I am inspired, I know for sure that not only is anything possible but that I will expect nothing less : )

Thank you Shellee Rae for sharing your story with us.

A Lesson in Living By L. Goldberg, Ashland, MA

I have known Shellee Rae since before she "made it to the other side". I watched her face her personal devils, sometimes winning and sometimes not yet winning. But always there was a willingness to battle and battle she did. She battled without ever shirking her responsibilities to her family, her friends, her children. She battled with confidence in her ultimate victory even when it seemed to others that such victory would forever be out of reach. In a series of situations as difficult as anyone ever has to face, she earned the respect of others, not their pity.
Now she has made it to the other side. She is where she deserves to be. By taking the time to tell her story in a most moving way, she reaches out to others, to help them overcome their own personal devils. What more can any of us do for another? Her story is an incredible addition to the world of literature. You have absolutely nothing better to do than to read it. It will change your view of what life is really about for the better, forever.

Hope By Sandra J. Barry, Gloucester, MA

Wow. I read this book in one sitting and read some parts out loud to my partner.

I have the pleasure of reaping the benefits of Shellee's recovery since I've only known her during her recovery years. I've experienced her amazing healing powers since I've struggled with severe vision problems. I had no idea of the depth of her despair and the journey that got her to where she is today.

I would want everyone that's struggled in life to read this book and hang on to live with the hope you will come through it as Shellee has.

If I Could Change The Past By Nelda Rae

If you think this is an eye-opening book, you can't imagine the horror a mother might feel...

Shellee's dad always said I was naïve and I was! The last thing - ever - that would have come to my mind was that my husband could have hurt any of our children in any way.
When the truth finally surfaced, I was in complete disbelief at first, then the horror as the shattering truth at last came out.

"The man is sick, let's see that he gets help. Can you live with that, Shellee? If he never touches you again?" Oh, how naïve I was! Why I didn't do more for my daughter right then, I don't know. Going back in my mind to that time, and the frame of mind many folks had, "This is a personal problem, something we can work out, something we can heal, something no-one will ever have to know about."

Oh, how naïve I was! My husband made so many mistakes (and so did I). When faced with the possibility of everything being revealed (that and his other failures), he just couldn't live with himself.

It has been so hard for all of the family to be a part of this story, but we are so blessed that Shellee has overcome the tragedies and risen to a place that's beyond words! I just can't say enough here.
I love you Shellee and I am so proud of you! Your book is certainly a 'Story of Inspiration' for anyone to read.

Suffering ~ A Path of Awakening
takes the reader on a 39-year journey of one woman’s life from a victim of sexual abuse, drugs, alcohol, and depression to the doors of death, into 12-step recovery, many spiritual paths and finally to full embodied awakening to Consciousness in August of 2008 with almost 11 years of sobriety.

Dive in wholly and feel the raw truth and vulnerability of this incredible real-life story. You can’t help but be inspired and deeply touched. This brave and heart-wrenching adventure will forever change the way you look at suffering and enlightenment!

"Suffering... a powerful book of hope and liberation.

The subtitle of Shellee Rae's deceptively short, plain-talking memoir gives a vroom! that hints at the horsepower under its storytelling hood:

Dissolving the Pain of Incest, Abuse, Addiction and Depression

That's quite a claim. To find out how it actually happened for her, you've got to read this astounding little book.

Published just this May, Shellee's book already is developing a life of its own. The glowing, grateful reviews on keep multiplying -- including one from her own mother, whose troubles are part of the true, unflinching story.

I'd like to see this book go as far as it can in the world -- lifting great numbers of suffering people into true hope and real willingness to heal, grow, and maybe even awaken.

Brava, Shellee Rae! Congratulations, and may this book enjoy amazing success and open the hearts and change the lives of countless grateful readers!" ~ Saniel Bonder, founder Waking Down in Mutuality, author Healing the Spirit Matter Split, and Great Relief
