My book is still in my head, and barely concieved. I am a 45 year old single mother and about to go back to college in September. I am finally coming out of a life valley and I feel as though I'm redesigning myself. I have always enjoyed writing and always fantasized about being a writer. Years ago, in school, I had some small successes and those fostered my dreams of one day becoming an author. I just signed up to take a course on writing fiction and writing is currently once . again moving to the forefront of my mind. I am VERY out of the loop, and very very rusty. I just stumbled across Nichole's site and decided to check it out. I began reading some comments and profles and I felt like this group of people had alot of great things going on in their lives and everyone seemed so upbeat that I decided to join to myself tap into all of this wonderful energy. I need all the positive encounters I can get to get my juices flowing again and I thought that this looked like it might be a very good place to start! So, here I go! :) Thankyou for reading my profile!

Hi Teresa, I, too, went back to college in my 40's. I ended up bonding with 3 other ladies in my major. We were all better students and made the best grades. After graduation, I worked more than full time as an RN for 7 years. I felt so burnt out. I kept praying that God would get me out of the rat race I was in. I had an accident that left me with a some chronic injuries so I couldn't go back to work. I was able to take a Writer's Digest Class on writing Fiction. I joined a couple of writer's groups while recovering. I still have my RN license and am working on a nonfiction health book, but my first book is coming out in the Fall. So believe in your dream. I wrote in the cafeteria, on breaks, just anytime I could find. I found keeping a journal really helpful. I kept me out of the therapist office. Bless you. I'll be seeing your name on a book in Barnes and Noble some day.
Blessings,
Mary McCauley
