- Something About Me and My Book:
- My name is Virginia Loer. My book, "Messenger to the Sky People" will be completed in a few months. This work began as a short story, but has blossemed into a novel.
The messeneger/protangonist is a young woman, Ana Lucero Beltran who lived her first life in the world of the Sky people. When she died, a spell was placed upon her by a group of priests, tranforming her into a swallow. Her mission is to travel to earth where she will live her second life as a human, that she may return to her world with her message about life as a mortal, but when she falls in love with Esteban Duarte, she must choose between returning to her bird form that she may fly back to her world, or remaining with Esteban as a spirit outside heaven's gate forever, never moving forward, in limbo for all eternity.
The story of Ana Lucero Beltran is centered around her experiences on earth. She will not discover her true identity untill she is 18. She lived her second life in Ciudad Juarez Mexico during the time of the revolution.
